Chris Pringle

The focus of my research is theoretical and experimental fluid dynamics as part of the Volcanology Research Group. I am currently studying the problems associated with large bubbles rising through constrained and unconstrained fluids. By considering high viscosity fluids we hope to make progress on understanding the dynamics occurring inside volcanoes. I am also interested in turbulence and in particular the transition to (or from) turbulence.
