Origins of Reiki

In the 1800’s Dr. Mikao Usui, a Japanese scholar, went on a search of how man could heal the body. Dr. Usui set out on a quest studying the various precepts of healing from history’s greatest teachers. After exhaustive study of the ancient Sanskrit Buddhist teachings, which date back over 2500 years, and enlightenment as the result of fasting and meditation, REIKI evolved. Dr. Usui devoted the rest of his life to the REIKI method of natural healing

REIKI is a time-honored, sacred method of bringing balance and harmony to the Body, physically; the Mind, mentally; and the Soul, spiritually.

What is Reiki?

The word Reiki is Japanese, and signifies universal life energy. REIKI is gentle but powerful, simple but effective. By simply placing one’s hands on oneself or another, the REIKI energy flows, creating harmony and restoring the mind, body and spirit to its perfect innate state of wellness. Reiki supports and stimulates natural healing.

Reiki is so simple to use that it can be practiced at work, home or play. It is effective for first aid, it can relieve pain, reduce swelling, and supports all healing situations.

How do you learn Reiki?

Their are 3 levels in the practice of Reiki. It cannot be self-learned. Reiki has to be activated by a Reiki Master.
